At R.M.Williams, we’re proud to craft a classic range of products from responsibly and ethically sourced kangaroo leather. Lightweight yet hardy, this material is the strongest leather for its weight in the world and is naturally engineered to hold up against the unique conditions of the Australian bush. It’s long been a favourite of Australian drovers and urban explorers alike, with a soft feel and fine grain finish that belies its unrelenting durability.

All of our kangaroos hides are sourced sustainably from open range environments, following the national code of practice for the humane treatment of kangaroos. 

To cut down on waste leather, we accept kangaroo hides with natural markings and textures. This gives each pair of kangaroo leather boots a unique look, and its own story to tell of the Australian outback.
